Ronaldo : The Legend from Brazil

Ronaldo won many laurels for the Brazil soccer team in 1990s and early 2000s. He was awarded the Ballon d’Or in 1997 at a young age of only 21. He won this award again in 2002. He has been chosen FIFA Player of the Year thrice. Only other player to achieve this distinction three times is French great Zinedine Zidane.

France Football named him in the all time best starting eleven in 2007.  He was also put in FIFA 100 which is a greatest footballers list compiled by soccer legend Pele. Goal.com conducted the online poll in 2010 and he was chosen player of the decade by getting huge number of votes.

He played a crucial role in Brazil winning the World Cup in 2002. He was also in the Brazil squad which won the World Cup in 1994. He has 15 World Cup goals to his name which is highest in all time.
