Real Tennis – The Foundation Of Todays Sport Version

The 16th and seventeenth centuries are considered to be the golden years in the history of real tennis.  In fact, this is the foundation game and is a true inspiration for the modern tennis which you play today.  Even in the present times, there are people who play such type of game.

This tennis is known by the various names. In Australia, it is called the royal tennis. In the US, it is referred to as the court tennis. In the republic of France, it is called as jeu – de- paume. It is an undeniable fact that the golden years of the game were the 16th and the seventeenth century respectively.

The real tennis is played inside the complex surrounded by the high walls and ceilings. In this type of court, there is use of galleries in the walls and the sloping roofs. There is a kink in the main wall.
