The horse racing is considered as a popular game of sports and has been there since the ancient times. In fact, it is considered to be the oldest game of sports ever known to mankind. The thorough bred racing is the most popular type of horse racing. In this, the horse is mounted by rider who is also called the jockey. The race is carried on a flat track and the distance can go upto 2 miles. Apart from this, you also have the harness racing.

In this, the horse pulls the two wheeled bike and it is to be carried over one mile course. The thorough bred reaches speed of 40 miles per hour but the standard bred reach a speed of 30 miles per hour.
